Leadership Book Presentation :: Process and Notes

Our project, like everyone else’s, involved five busy people who were separated by schedules and geography. We were able to overcome those barriers with the help of some free technology. We got things done.

Work Plan:

Our group read the book in mid-January 2008. During the last week of January, we posted reflections and a work plan to our project wiki. We also posted the PDFs of published reviews (removed late February, so that we could make the wiki public).

In mid-February, we began creating a slide show of our presentation.

In late February, we used chat and cell phones to finalize our discussions, Web site, and presentation.

Tools Used

Wikispaces - free Wiki hosting...an efficient way to organize a group project

Zoho - online collaboration (similar to Google docs) with a nice embeddable slide show feature

Skype - the easiest way to chat
